MARCH MEETING

FEBRUARY OUTING

guys this months outing is split into a home and away style.Those fishing the home leg will meet on sunday 17th feb at the drum takeawy 8am and those fishing the away leg will meet at the lochside cafe/boathouse at 8am on sunday 24th feb,any one wanting more info regarding the away leg please get in touch.

PRESENTATION NIGHT SUCCESS

last night saw our first presentation night at fairways,i think its fair to say it went well and a good time was had by all.

last years run away leader rab hay(above)taking home the silver,club champion,best fly/lure caught trophy and heaviest fish caught on a day non points outing.well done rab.george cassels took the club runner up and heaviest fish caught on a outing.well done george.i got sportsman of the year,thanks guys and Matthew taking the spoon.

a big thanks to every one for donating to the raffle prizes,and for all the work involved to make the night happen,thanks to fairways for the buffet,bar and facilities and pro sound for the disco.

all ready looking forward to the next one.

club magazine launch

Thanks to some very hard work from tia and robbie we now have a club magazine,we hope to bring out 4 issues a year with fishing updates,photos,club news any stories,members profiles,for sale and with a bit of luck some sponsers.
I think we would all agree that tia(the editor)has made a fantastic job of the first issue,but she needs photos,stories any input that can be used, please email tia any thing you would like to see included in future issues,thanks

BOATS AFLOAT

we now have the club boat moored in the water,calanders will be issued at next meeting with a timetable of weekends and names of members using boat.
thanks to members robbie,nathen,rab,allan,ewen,grant and micky for giving up there time to set the moorings and get the boat in the water and members for donating all the bits and bobs to make it happen,a real team effort.

CHANGE OF R.O.s

At our recent a.g.m long standing regional organisers Grant Macleod and James Dyce have stood down but will remain active and key club members.Rab Hay and Micky Jones will fill the vacated roles.The membership would like to thank Grant and James for their years of work involved and bringing the club to the level we are at today,a solid foundation for Rab and myself to build on.Many thanks guys and looking forward to lots more fishing.

mentieth/venachar weekend.

well guys never got any monsters this time round,had 3 small fish up to 7lb on mentieth and 2 jacks on venachar.must say it was great to meet some of the pac commitee members and i think i have managed to talk a couple into coming up to inverness to do talks/slideshows as well as a bit of fishing?it was a great days fishing with club president phil wakeford and i hope i learned a thing or two?

guys,north lanarkshire ra93 have kindly invited any of us interested in going down to their xmas night bash on friday 14 december at the joker bar in bellshill 7.30pm,gueast speaker will be NEVILLE FICKLING along with buffet,raffles and dare i say one or two beers.sounds like it could be a very good night.if you can get names to me as soon as possible to get an idea of numbers then with sandys help we can get hotels etc booked up.
