George receives the Club Champ Trophy from club chairman, Rab Hay
Well done George
We would like to thank all of our sponsors for 2013 for their generosity, our raffle was a great success with some of our members going home with some excellent prizes. This would not have been possible without your support. George being true to form, followed up his championship success by going home with most of the prizes.
a few changes after the inverness ra74 agm meeting......
after 6 years at the helm myself and rab hay have stood as R.O's (will
make it official in due course once the new pac sec is in place) dont panic you's dont get rid of me that easy as i'm still plodding on as north of scotland L.O. the new regime in Inverness will be.... Alan Wands....R.O. Gordy Macdonald.....ass R.O.
So i would just like to wish Alan and Gordy every success in there new roles, and as always i'm never far away if needed.
Also Alan has taken on role of club sec,so all the best with that mate i'm sure we might get meeting minutes now...lol
This years A.G.M. will be held on TUESDAY 5th FEBRUARY at the Chieftain Hotel,Millburn Road, Inverness 8p.m.
NEW MEMBERS MORE THAN WELCOME.
If your interested in joining or would like more details, please drop us an email
Could all trophies and nominations for sports person of the year be handed to Rab by the A.G.M. at latest.
Also Rab and Micky will be standing down as R.O.'s so we will be looking to fill those roles by the A.G.M. and Ewen and Micky will be retiring from club committee roles after 6 years,so the club committee is needing volunteers to take on those roles too.
This months outing's will be held on sunday 11th and 18th November, meeting at Tarvie Cafe at 8am
We are now back on winter rules gents...Tight lines and remember to be careful out on the roads early morning now we have the frost and ice back.
Unfortunately due to other commitments i was gutted to have missed this trip but our annual jaunt down the road proved very good for all those fishing, not just our own members but we were also joined by guests from tayside PAC,glasgow PAC and ayrshire PAC aswell as friends from P.A.A.S and Al Rawlings making the long trip over from Ireland.
Our Caledonian charity shield was also in play for this weekend and was won by Sean Allan,Well done Sean and all that help raise the £200 that will be donated to the macmilan nurse's trust, our way of thanking them for the help they gave fellow member and friend James Lockard in his final weeks.
A lot of fish were caught and with a couple dream fish thrown in for good measure,Saturday couldnt have started any better for Ewen Lyon upping his P.B. to 25.04lbs.
Lots of doubles and jacks also caught over the weekend and another clonker on Sunday by Gus from ayrshire pac weighing in at 25lb 10oz.
Well Done Gus thats a braw fish mate.A big thanks to all that made the weekend a success.
September also seen Micky make the long trip south to the PAC convention in Harrogate and collect the R.O.s of the year awards.Unfortunately Rab Hay was overseas on holiday and could not attend.
Above Micky Jones collects his and Rab's awards from PAC general secretary Alan Dudhill.
Micky and Rab would like to thank all our members as these awards are a reflection of all at inverness pike anglers club and the work we do.
September's outing's were a bit slow to say the least but a big CONGRATULATIONS must go out to 2 new members on there first club outing.WELL DONE to Gary Black on upping his personal best to 24+lb and to Alan Black on upping his personal best to 18+lb....what a way to start your club fishing...well done guys and welcome to the club.
