JULY OUTING

This months outings will be on Sunday 24th/31st. meeting at the Tarvie Cafe 8a.m.

NEXT MEETING WILL BE ON TUESDAY 26TH JULY.
Guys we have decided to move the meetings from the first tuesday of the month to the last tuesday of the month,as the venue is very busy and we are struggling to get seats and peace to conduct meeting we have been told the last tuesday of the month is a much quieter time.So starting the 26th july this will be the case each month.

BBQ WEEKEND AND CALEDONIAN SHIELD SUCCESS

Another fantastic BBQ weekend and i think we all agree that Robbie did a fantastic job as chef as always,the food on offer was superb many thanks to all that donated the grub.Robbie for the superb salad and venison,James Dyce for the good deal on the butcher stuff,Jim Morrice for the excellent fish and all other members that brought stuff along.We certainly don't go hungry.
The weather and the fishing wasn't as good as we would have wanted but we didn't let it spoil our weekend.
Well done Jim Morrice on his 22lbr the biggest of the weekend.
Our first RA 74 Caledonian Charity Shield was won by Ian and the money raised £200 will be donated to the Elgin cancer care unit(more on this as i get more details)this is over and above the £300+ we have raised for the Highland Hospice earlier this month.
Well done Ian for winning the shield and BIG thanks to all our members that took part over the weekend.

June overnighter bbq weekend will be on sat/sun 25/26th meeting on saturday morning at ashers bakers(opposite tesco)in Aviemore 8a.m...Any member wishing to bring something for the bbq,that would be great.

CHARITY DAY THANKS!

Big thanks to all who attended our club charity fishing day,a good few fish were caught and we made a good few quid for the Highland Hospice.will post final total when we get it in.Especially well done to the 5 juniors that came along with 4 of them getting into fish 2 of which were p.b.s.

Guy's due to this sunday's venue being well flooded we have decided to cancel and re shedule another date to suit everyone at the next meeting,the way it now and with more rain coming we would certainly be struggling to get fishing and with the cost of fuel dont want to risk a wasted journey,sadly theres not much we can do about the conditions but hope the rain stops soon.

WELL DONE CAMERON!

Well done to junior member Cameron Davie who blew away his previous personal best with this awesome fish early saturday morning.Cameron was over the moon and also had a few other nice fish during a couple days away with his dad Alex Davie and Alan Wands on an undisclosed water,and to top it off Cameron continued his fine form on Sunday's club outing catching again and making it 3 outings in a row he's caught something most of us adults are struggling to do!
